i have a 1990 dakota with a 3.9 v6. will a 727 out of a 76 satelite work? and how many things do i have to mess with to get it to work?

No it will not work good
the 90 has an overdrive, lockup A500 trans
the 727 will bolt up but is only a 3 speed it
will but your gas mileage will drop drasticly
from what you got with the A500 O/D lockup trans
the 727 has to be from a 318 internal ballanced
the 360 had an external ballance and it will shake
at idle just like pulling a plug wire off
drive shaft may also need to be changed the 727
was longer on the tail shaft
