Hi All,
My 2001 Dakota developed a tapping sound after about 4000 miles. I took it back to the dealer, at that time (REEDMANS) Rt1 Langhorne, PA. After multiple turn downs for repair,the shop manager and I took it out for a listen. He told me thats normal and all Dodge Dakotas have injector noise.
"I wasn't born yesterday" I wrote a letter to Dodge, and they replyed, "Take it to the dealer".
I went back and they found that 2 of the 6 pistons were the wrong size.
How about that! The customer was right about that noise...
