First off Howzit to everybody on this forum.

My wife and I just picked up a 2001 Dakota ex cab sport with a 6 banger, I know it's not a performer and wasnt meant to be and I do realize that, but is there any performence things I can do just to pep it up a little? I know about doing a cold air induction thing which I plan on doing some time in the near future, and I prob can do some costums exuast stuff my self, but what else can be done? like performence chip's? is there any adjustments/tweeking of things I can do to free up a little power like tpis switch?..........ahhhh...............if it has one? 1.6 rollers maybe? oh hell I dont know, it is just gonna be a cruiser for my wife so as I said ealier, I'm not really expecting a huge jump in horse power.

I'm asking some of these things only because those are some of the things I've done to my car, so I am a learner when it comes to these trucks and not even sure if some of the things I did do to my car will apply to this truck.

My future plans also include giving it a nice drop, and paste some nice chromed rims on there, we have a window tinter coming here in a few minutes from now so that'll be taken care of.

Mahalo Nui Loa (thank You Very Much) for your help to whom ever decides to help me out with some learning tip's.

So you're from Hawaii...awesome! I went there on vacation over Thanksgiving and can't wait til I can afford to go back! SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!

Anyway...read some of the older posts and you'll find all the info you need. There's a TON of stuff you can do to these engines to get more out of em.

cool, actualy thats what I've been doing after discovering how to navigate around here, thanks for the help though and glad you enjoyed your visit to here, did you stay in Waikiki?

Here's a video of the St Patricks day parade in Waikiki I edited the other day on my desk top, it's not a very good quality film but you should be able to make out what your looking at, my car is the green vette by the way in the vid, hope you enjoy watching it.

copy and paste the site in your address bar.

Click on the "Red arrow" on right hand side to watch.

No problem... i'm here to learn and share what I do know (which isn't a whole lot...lol).

Nice video...I stayed in Waikiki. I think our hotel was the Aston Monarch. Bout a block from the beach. That video resparked my desire to go back even more. I'm really considering just packing up and moving there sometime when I can actually afford it...find a place for sale up towards the north shore so I can get away from the people a lil.
