jay, you should be able to use the 5.9 setup with a little modification but, i would think someone lists one for a 3.9.

i emailed k&n about my 2001 3.9 they dont make a cai for our engines, just the drop in filter which i have and they also make an oil filter that i am gonna try, it filters down to 10 microns i believe, most only go to 30-40.

Thank you for your interest in K&N products. K&N replacement filter offer between 2 & 4% horsepower increase. Intake kits offer between 5 & 10% increase. Unfortunately for your application K&N does not offer an intake kit.

wow I went to the part store and they said they could order me one a K&N well thanks I guess the kid was going to sell me that did'nt fit he put it the computer and I saw it show up huh

i got the Volant air intake for my Dak, and yes it is and 03 also (hence my name) they also have a pic if it installed on the truck already, im quite happy with it, plus it sounds cool to!

when you got there search for a 2002 Dakota, then go to the air intake section, it should have several diffrent one to choose from, try that.
