Subject: who is the fuel injector master IP: Logged
Message: i have a set of fuel injectors for a 3.8 from a wrecked caravan. they read a resistance of 12.2 ohms the out put for the 3.8 is 205 hp. i want to put them in my 1992 3.9 which is 180 hp from the factory and reads a resistance of 15.3. i know i have to change the injector plugs. the new injectors for the 3.8 have four holes in the end so i am thinking the fuel will be a finer mist, but what i dont know how the resistance will effect the computer? what will it trick the computer into reading and will it make an inprovement in what or will it run learn the value and adjust it self? I also would like to know if they are the same height and have the same diameter holes for the intake? thanks

Message: I would get a hold of Bruce at Five Motor Sports. I believe the only injectors you can really use other than the stock ones are the Ford 19lb injectors made by Bosch. If you want to get a set that should work, get the injectors out of a mid 90's mustang.
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

Message: THey are right, you probally should contact Bruce at Five Motor Sports. I got my 19 # injectors for under $200.00 shipped to ITaly. You can run larger injectors than the 19# ones, however you will need lots of engine mods to really see the gains. Hope this info helps you out.

Message: from what i have read the replacement of injectors has made the 3.9 engines smoother at idle. but would like to swith them with the 3.8 injectors because the 3.8 has four holes in the end. and the 3.8 is rated stock at 205 hp. plus also id kinda figured it would work better with my nitrous. but i have heard that the injectors have been a small gain.

Message: The 3.8 mitubitchie injectors are only 15# this is
not a mopar motor my friend
The 19# from Bruce are 4 hole or you can get
design 3 6 hole also
You may trip code 27 fault in injector interface
circuit and go into limp mode
If you do want to try them Bruce has plug
adapters to plug in so you don't need to butcher
your wire harnass
smother overall running motor smother idle with
a mid and top end gain of 5 to 10hp with the
FMS do to there closer mathing than the 1 hole
wonders Bosch ford motor sports are also quiter
then stock less ticking

Message: so what if i tie in a resistor in line with the injectors so each they read the 15.3 ohm value? is that the reason why a code 27 would appear is because of the varience of resistance?
