 Subject: wierd erratic idle and hesitation

about every other time i drive my dak, it will start and idle fine let it warm up for 10 or 15 min and leave it will go fine, but soon after it will hesitate i press on the gas and it boggs out, then after a few seconds every things fine... then i come to a complete stop and it starts idleling like its going to die.. but after i start going again every things fine, i just gave it a tune up, plugs, wires cap, air filter pcv valve, also the air filter and crack case vent filter was clogged with oil... any ideas or is this trunk on its way out?

What year is truck ?
Various possibilities-
If less than half-tank of gas = fuel pump ?
possible dirty Idle Air Control and or Throttle Body
possible - badly gapped plugs
also - did you " index them " ? best = 10 to 2
If 95 or older - possible EGR sensor/solenoid

yeah give us some more info on your truck (year, mileage, check engine light on? etc). I'll go ahead and tell you though, Idle Air Control valves (IAC) seem to go on everybody's dak's and it doesn't cost anything to clean them. Take it out and clean it and see if it helps. It should be located on the back of your throttle body. It's held on by 2 torx #25's and when you get it off, spray it with some carb cleaner to get the carbon off. Make sure not to mess with the tip when you get it off though. If that doesn't help, you saved yourself 45 bucks by not buying a new one at least.

its a 96 with about 154000 miles.. its had this problem before the tune up, the check engine light was on before this, it aways comes on after a while and come then goes off after a few day then doesnt come back on month.. the error codes are 132 and 138.. 02 sensor circuit high voltage.. these codes have come on for the last 5 years and both o2 sensors have been replace 3 times, last time was about a year ago... i think this trunk is possessed.. i'll try yo clean the iac and see what happens, the throttle boddy is amazingly clean

try your egr if you have one, im not sure if the 95 had one but i think it does, that would cause the 02 sensor to read wrong and also make your truck idle or stumble like that.
