I have noticed a slow drip coming out of the lower front end of the engine. It's right where the blower fan attaches to the lower part of the engine. I'm not sure of the right terminology but I think that is also the front end of the oil pan...
Could this lead to be a bad problem?? I don't ever leak enough oil to make a differance between oil changes right now....

Message: I have a very similar drip, but it's not oil. It almost looks like some dirty water coming from the water pump, but I don't know if that's even possible. There is a round metal thing (sorry, not mechanically educated yet) with notches on it directly between the oil pan and the lower end of the serpentine belt. The liquid drips off of that metal piece.

Message: Maybe the timing chain cover leaking oil.

Message: if it is dirty water could be small amounts of coolant comeing from the weep hole on the water pump and rolling down the timing cover, those notches are timing marks, and that is the timing cover, as for that oil leak it is either a seal or the pan gasket and it can only lead to a problem if it gets worse, just keep an eye on it.

Message: Thanks, 93dak4x4. It is going to the dealer tomorrow to get checked out. Still got 500 miles left on the warranty, just in case it's covered.
