Subject: help loose liquid behind right....

hi its defnitly not my month after a toasted battery now my little baby loose some kind of liquid behind my right front wheel...

what can it be:

- air condition? doesnt smell and taste
- whisper washer water? Hopefully
- cooling water? please not


what I figured out:

- doesnt tast like anything
- is some liquid, clear
- would say a kind of water no oil (no vicosity)

where is it:

- comes from somewhere hits some metal and reach the ground 10 - 15 inches behind the right front wheel (sitting in the car and looking forward...)

what car:

1997 Dakota Sport V6

so thx for your help, I will buy tomorrow a flashlight and try to get some furhter informations about this...

really? its quite a lot and I don't use the ac since 2 month, but now its getting warmer in ca...

and I had a oil change 2 weeks ago or so.

if you use the defroster or bi-level the compressor will run also.

ok thx,

but now it gets worst, it stops...

so last night i catched arround 200ml of a liquid, not a oil in my eyes, and this morning I drive to work and all looks fine:

oil temp. a little over the middle
engine temp. really low, was just driving in the city
oil is enough in,
transmission oil is a little bit low but looks totally different to the liquid I catched

mhm what to do now

I don't think the A/C compressor comes on in Bi-level mode, only in Defrost mode. Bi-level is a vent mode, not conditioned air.

i never thought that too bob, but it does on at least my 2000 durango and my buddies 2000 dakota.

Bi-level runs the A/C compressor on my 2000
dak cc 5spd it was annoying me for a while till
i figured out what the sound was ( the
compressor cycling on and off)
