I'm looking at buying a 1989 Dakota with a 3.9L and 4 speed overdrive. It has 132,000 miles on it. What should I be looking for as far as trouble spots? It looks to be in good shape and appears to run well. It has had the transmission, radiator, and exhaust replaced.
Also, what is normal oil pressure for a 3.9 with that type of milage?
Message: I have a 1988 Dak 4x4 with a 3.9. My Dad bought it new and I got it from him a few years ago. It has given us trouble free use since new. There has been regular maintenance and some replacement and repair of things that wear over time. As for oil pressure my gauge just L and H but always is just below H.
