 Subject: heat and A/C screwed up

I posted this in the general forum but have not had much luck in finding the issue.
since last week my heat and a/c have been screwed up. Sometimes it will blow cold air (vent on cold, hot and a/c on or off). Sometimes it will blow hot air (vent on cold, hot, a/c on or off). Every day it's a lottery as to if it will blow hot or cold air (though cold air seems to occur the most).
New thermostat and heater core was installed 1-2 months ago. The blower works fine.
Pulled off dash and checked the controls, all vaccuum hoses are connected. Pulled out glove box and the 2 hoses (light green & dark green) are connected. Checked value under drivers side, hoses are connected too.
The truck is a '95 CC 4x4 3.9L auto.
Any help to track this one down is much appreciated!
