 Subject: 88 need help ASAP!

Hey~ My 88 dakota will start, idle fine, but when i try and drive it, it won't go 4 blocks without dying out. It died out on me 3 times today! Plenty of spark, distributor a-ok, timing fine. Could it be something in the fuel system? Pump or filter? Has this ever happened to anyone else where it drives allright, then dies out? Need help, ASAP. I just got the thing yesterday and this wasn't heppening when I got it! Thanks!~Nick

does this happen when you put it in gear and when coming to a stop?
if yes check the speed sensor on the trans and wires going to it
