its not under the hood,its in the heater box,
inside,
big job to get it out
if your fan is not working try the fan resistor,
its under the hood[pass side] 4 wire plug on the firewall,2 small screws holed it on/in the firewall and check the plug in for rust/corrosion,sometimes just unplugging it and plugging it back in will get you 1 or 2 speeds
the resistor is about$18 at dealer
