lets say i want to add 1.7 roller rockers, how much of a performance increase would i actually get. right now i have a K&N drop in filter and exhaust, if i ran even with a 99 cougar v6 would these help me pull ahead??

Deffinatly. They add a good 15 horsepower to the rear wheels.

to me, that was one of the most noticeable things ya could do to the 3.9 other than power adders.
Get soem 1.7's, MSD 6a ignition box, msd wires, and a blaster coil.. you should be picking up some good performance and it will help your MPG's (as long as that right foot isnt heavy).

actually , i was reading one extremly long thread about ur turbo and if u wouldnt mind could u tell me a little about it. like how much it helped and how much it ended up costing you(under 500$ sounds good 2 me) and if i put one on my truck, it being mostly stock n all what could u predict times would be, thanks man

it was really cheap because i was really cheap. I really do not suggest going that route. Save up your money (if you havent already) and buy good parts the first time out.
i didnt spend that much because i raided eBay and also had got some stuff for free... and i never completed my fuel system. I could of done the whole thing for less than $1000 but $500 is probably not gonna cut it.
I used a TB0301 turbo i bought used for $100. I then bought a new polished compressor housing instead of using the stock buick housing. That was another $100. I then spend about $100 on exhaust pieces to build my headers and crossover pipes. This included a jba header flange that i aquired. We had some 24 lb injectors sitting around and i used those. I spend about $100 in parts for the oil feed and drain.. including gaskets, flanges, lines, etc etc. I also got a set of gauges and stuff from a friend for $150 used... including an airhat and some other stuff. I also spend $15 on BOV.
i'll get more into it later with some pix.. but ya gotta keep in mind, i did this with some cutting tools, a flux core welder and in my garage at my apartment i lived at... so it wasnt the best job.

i dnt much mind how good of a job it is as long as it works. i do however expect to spend 600-700 ish, and i can do alot myself but some stuff i will need help with. if you wouldnt mind sending me an email with details n pictures, i would also like to kno how it felt u kno, did it help, and would it help my truck. if u answer this post ill give u my moms email mine is broke
