 Subject: To Cool to Fast?

I have a 93 3.9, and the thing does not stay warm long enough. If I park in the mall parking lot, 20 minutes later I can start it up and the needle is almost back to bottom. Its kind of cold in NJ, maybe the freezing range, a little lower, but its no Great White North. Is this typical of these engines or is there possible something wrong. When we go out in my girl's 00 Kia Rio, we can be out of the car for an hour and a half and still have a little bit of heat in the car, same thing with my Suburban. Im stumped.

my truck is the same way, don't worry about it, its a good thing, its why our trucks are so hard to overheat.

Hmm. OK, sucks but OK. What is FOT?? Mine hits a little under half, and Im missing my fan shroud, I cant get the temp up, or is that right?

Sorry...can't answer your main question though. Mine still gives me heat...and I'm even running a colder thermostat.

i think stock operating temp is prolly the same on yours as it is on my 97, @ 195*
