Just a quick question here, I want to swap out the factory horns for something louder and a bit deeper of a tone, what can I swap that uses the factory plug ends? Seems like when I use the horn nobody hears it because I almost get hit when someone cuts me off at one particular intersection that I have to take to get home from work. Tired of almost getting hit, it's up to 7 or 8 times already since the city put in the double turn lane. Either I almost get hit or I slam on the brakes, lay on the horn and almost go in the ditch. Also, has anyone ever put air horns on a dak? If so, how much was it to do a dual air horn setup and where did they mount?

dude sorry this isn't gonna help you much, but I just had to post that I love my dixie horn, it's soooooo funny! My friend however, put a train horn in his chevy blazer, that beast is EXTREMELY loud! That'll let them know you're coming.

Wolo brand at Pep Boys, $30, not like big rig horns, but MUCH better than factory. Just a warning, though, use the relay and 20 amp fuse to wire it separately. In cold weather it draws enough to blow the standard 10 amp horn fuse.

Cool, thanks for the info, think I'm going to go with the air horn setup. All I can hope for is to scare the crap (literally) out of the next person that cuts me off.

Hey DAK2K, what was the part # of the system you have? Did you buy the separate horn installation kit or the horn button installation kit? We don't have a pep boys in my area, just auto zone, checker, and napa.

I used to work with the dude that sells these. His horns are the same exact horns that they use on freight trains. That blue truck is LOUD and sounds exactly like a freighter :-) The first time I heard it, I started looking for a train!!!
