Is there a way to get all the sludge out, well I have always run Mobil SuperSyn. I am wondering if something like CD-2 would work. I don't know if it is sludge but I am wondering if there is a powerful cleaner to mix in with the oil to help dispose of it.

use seafoam or amsoil engine flush. Those should both work well

Spend the 80 to have pep boys (i'm sure other shops have a similar service) do an engine flush using the billstein machine (includes a proline oil change - you can upgrade to something better). They run warm cleaning solution in the filter port at 42 PSI and vaccuum it out the pan. I was going to take the slow way of using 1 quart of transmission fluid and the rest oil. That was just too slow and plus you need to keep an eyeball on the oil pressure at all times, the filter will get clogged.

I had this service done and my mpg has jumped back up where it should be. Also I now use seafoam.

Just change oil and filter each week for a month, that will do as much as any of these products, with no risk of harmful effects.
