Message: 2nd Post!!! Does anyone know where i can find a "cheaper" fuel pressure regulator/fuel filter? Quick description of problems: Truck (3.9L 1997 Sport Manual) starts hard (long cranking time) when it has sat more than 20 minutes, and occasionally misses when cold for the first 45 secs of run time. Changed plugs/wires/cap/rotor/air filter/PCV/. Battery good, so checked fuel pressure. When key switched on fuel pressure goes from 0 to 48psi fast, then when pump stops goes immediately to zero, and does not pass go...therfore check valve in pressure regulator/filter is bad. "Cheaper" means less than 200.00 if you were wondering!!!!

Message: why not try to find an inline check valve you could install outside the tank. that would be way less than 200 bucks.
