Message: Basically it 'fools' the computer into thinking the incoming air is cooler. Although I'm not happy with that description. The way I see it, the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) is located in the manifold when it comes from the factory. After the engine warms up, the manifold has hot coolant going through it, so the manifold gets warm, in turn warming the IAT sensor.
I moved mine just behind my K&N filter on the Airaid intake, and it made a definate improvement! Idle is a bit smoother, and a little more pep. Not a lot, but it's cheap to do.
