 Subject: 90' dak dies from taking off

my 90'dakota dies when ever i put it in drive or reverse. If I slam on the gas and throw it into drive ill burn rubber n take off, and drives great till i break. I was told it was the tranny solienoid i changed it but still the problem persists PLEAZ HELP!!

sounds like the speed sensor on the trans,it tells the pcm to idle the engine up when you put it in gear or when coming to a stop or the wires going to it may have a break in them
its the unit that screws to the trans and the speedometer cable screws to it,it has a 2 wire plug in on it

try your idle air control motor on the back of the throttle body, or maybe your egr valve. thats all i got.
