Message: I am considering swaping the 6 for an 8. Found a friend who has 6 race ready 360's just sitting around. My question is what year range of 360 will fit my 2002 club cab 2 wheel drive? And will it bolt up to the stock trans without any problem? Oh yeah, if I do this will I have to replace the front springs to adjust for the extra weight?
Thanks in advance
AJ

Message: you're gonna have to change a whole lot more than just the front springs dude. it would probaly be easier to just buy a r/t. what you're trying to do can be done, but you may want to re-think it. are these "race ready" 360's set up for efi? you gonna drive it on the road on a regular basis?

Message: Yeah I still want my truck to be a daily driver. I really do not intend on putting a race ready engine in my truck, he just offered one for sale as friends. He also has 4 360 blocks that I could build as mild or wild as I want. I regret not buying the v8 out of the box but am not disappointed in the v6. I really would like a very mild v8 that I could just drop in the truck as easily as possible.
