Subject: vibration real bad IP: Logged
Message: my dakota seems fine when i'm on the gas or on the brakes if i am costing it shakes like crazy. it started out just a small thumping sound comming from the rear now it shakes baD i can feel it in the floor (hump). i was told could be rear end, tranny mount, u joints i havent checked it out yet, any sugestions would be great ....thanks

Message: Check Your U Joints It Sounds Like You Have One That Has Frozen Up. Look And See If There Is Rust Under The Dust Boots On The U Joints. You Might Have To Pull The Drive Shaft To See They Are Moving Freely. Hope This Helped

Message: i solved the problem i took it to the shop put it on the lift and started looking i did find the tranny mount is bad but was not the cause of my problem . the problem was when i had new tires put on the idiots did not tighten the lugs on passenger rear tire all the way so they were comming lose the more i drove it, i tightened it up and the truck runs fine now.
