Subject: what shock do you recommend?

Message:
i've just started shopping around for shocks for my 99 dakota
2wd truck and the prices are alarming

edlebrocks are $69 a piece (which seems to be the standard
price among most manufacturers)

kyb has a price of $25 a piece

is kyb junk or is edlebrock just overpriced?

i just want a comfortable ride, no mario andretti performance is
needed :)

what do you think a good brand/price is ? i don't want to be
cheap, i'll pay for a quality part, i just don't want to get ripped
off

I used Monroe Sensatrac on my 00 Dak. They are pretty good. Anything beats the stockers. Or at least with my experience.

yeah they are

I noticed a huge difference in the shocks after I installed Monroe Reflex. but the biggest improvement was after the rear anti-sway bar install

I just got some Monroe Gas Matic's @ sears for $12.50 each. always had good luck w/Monroes. The most I would spend for a light truck would be Rancho 5000's unless you have a special need
