Is the stock exhaust pipe size 2.25 or 2.5"? I am about to pick up a Flowmaster Delta 40 series, and need to know the inlet size to get. Also, I am just putting in the muffler for now, with a turndown tip. Should I get center in, center out, or center in , offset out? Thanks!
Justin

So I need a 2.25 inlet correct, so the 2.5 pipe will fit over it? Sorry if this souds stupid, just making sure. Also, any thoughts on the inlet/outlets? I was thinking center in/out.

Justin

When I ordered my DynoMax muffler it came 2.5" in & 2.5" out and it slid right over the stock (2.5") pipes .
Exhaust tubing is measured by "OD"

mufflers are sold by the "ID" so the tubing will slid inside.

If you ordered a 2.25" in muffler you would have to butt weld it to your stock pipe as it wouldn't slid over 2.5" pipe.
