I have a few questions first off what kind of tranny do i have in my 1989 dodge dakota 3.9 4x4? I also have a very bad lack of power and i need help. My gas milage is at 9 right now and thats not normal. what can i do help help my gas milage??? Any help would be nice..

Check for vacuum leaks
also check EGR valve/sensor-solenoid

trans is an A500,
02 sensor will hurt your mileage like that.have it checked or replace
temp sensor giving the pcm a cold reading,runs rich
map sensor not working properly,have checked
do a tuneup plugs,wires,cap and rotor
set the timing to 12degrees instead of 10degrees
try a couple bottles of fuel injector cleaner
for every min your truck idles you loss about a mile a tank,idles 15min loss 15miles per tank of gas
one or all will hurt mileage and power
