Message: When tweaked with they do work...but you could do one yourself for about a buck or so, if that. All you're buying is a resistor that you can get from Radioshack that's been wired into a fancy little box. I think what the resistor does is tricks the computer into thinking the engine is still cold which in turn makes it run richer. I don't think it's a huge increase or anything though. Depending on certain conditions, it may even DECREASE your engine's performance. I wouldn't buy it... it's just a waste of money.

Message: i agree with Gb. It tricks the MAF sensor into thinking the air is colder so it runs richer and therefore gives you maybe 5-10 hp. Really though runing a engine rish has its share of long term problems. Overall i wouldnt do it to my truck and i wouldnt recomend it.
