Subject: TV cable adjustment IP: Logged
Message: I've read the speedtweaks info, but I don't fully understand.
What does the trans throttle valve and cable do?
What are the symptoms if is not adjusted correctly?
Thanks
(Thanks to all on this board. I've done alot of the mods, and my 10-year-old truck runs better than new.)

Message: When you are driving along and push the pedal to the middle and the transmission automatically down shifts, well that happens because there is a TV cable that runs from the throttle body to the transmission. If you stomp on the gas pedal and your transmission does not shift, then just possibly the cable needs adjusting.

Message: Yes, it's a kickdown cable for the tranny, in place of the rod that used to be used.
