Subject: Tail Lights don't work & check eng is on IP: Logged
Message: 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport - V6
My electric fan was continuously running. The only way to get the fan to stop running was by disconnecting the battery cables. Then, my brother-in-law advised me that I could simply pull a fuse from under the hood, and this would cut the fan off until replaced. I pulled the "fuse" (?) out. (Black, 5 prongs.) At this point, my check engine light came on. Approx. 1 week later, I was told that my tail lights are not working. So far I have replaced the "fuse", replaced bulbs in both tail lights and checked all fuses. Nothing has worked. The check engine light is continuously on and the tail lights do not work. However, the fan seems to now be working fine. I only have until Tuesday to get this fixed or I will have to go to court for the ticket I received. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
