hey everybody... i just ran a 9.2! (in the 1/8th of course).
not too bad with a stock manifold, heads, factory cat and y-pipe, 3.55 gears and an open diff.
this run:
9.2 @75
last run:
9.6 @80
i shot the nitrous this time @ 2500 rpms and still lost a lot of traction. when i get the limited slip i should see 8s!

now i am at 100. i shot the 75 off of the line and pulled a 9.598 and a lot of 9.6s. i used the 100 shot after i hit 2500 rpm and hit that 9.21. when i hit the juice it sent my right tire into the one wheel wonder dance up into second gear. with a limited slip i should be in the 8s... and then i might be brave enought to use it off of the line also and get well into the 8s.
future mods:
4.10 gears
modify intake manifold (port match, divider, runners)
remove catalytic converter
custom y-pipe
racing seats
intense

You are truly an insperation to us all.
I cant wait till our tracks open, I am dying to know what I can run.
I should have mine back on the road by next weekend, the nice weather were having here I get rumors that our local 1/8er might open sooner than expected.

this next week i should see a whole custom exhaust... 2.5 inch y-pipe into a 3" pipe and no cat... ordering mandrel bent pipes from summit
now just a little cutting and pasting here and there and....voila! exhaust!

Hey Intense, that's an awesome time, but, I've got to ask ya--why do ya still have an open diff?
IMO get a PowerTrax No-Slip diff and spin both tires (hopefully less), and pick up some time! It's easy to install and not too much more expensive than a LSD.

even when bernd gets his truck finished (do i need to come down and help?j/k) i still wanna race him... it would be fun.
my friend with his Z28 was always wanting to race me and i was always saying no until one night i though... "what do i have to loose?"
turns out i beat him... his bumper stayed at my driver side door. that made me more aggressive and willing to race faster cars.

yeah... i think i like it a lot. i will get you some moneys when i come down. don't like mailing money! i think we are planning on coming down at the end of this month. the sad thing is, my dads 98 mazda 4 cyl goes 0-60 just about as quick as my dak does, atleast to the same mailbox down my street!
still leakin coolant like fresh hard on i mean one out of her oven.
