 Subject: 2000 Dakota spark plug wires

Help! I just replaced my cap, rotor, spark plug wires and plugs. I thought I was being careful but I must have switched a couple of wires on the distributor.
I believe the firing order is 165432 but I can only find a diagram for 1999 or before. It shows 1 at the 6 o'clock position (from the front) with 6,5,4,3,2 clockwise from the 1, but this appears to be incorrect for the 2000.

With your cap off turn your engine to top dead center, the rotor will point to the #1 plug on the dist. cap. it should be on the passenger side.

I also discovered the mark on the plate under the rotor that indicates where the no. 1 goes! Duh! The truck had been missing when wet and one post on the cap was totally corroded. Smooth now.
