I have a 97 dakota with the check engine light problem. I have done the key on/off like the website tell you too. (http://allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html)
I dont get the flashing "check engine" light, but in the miles area a #12 shows up.
According to the codes a #12 is Battery or computer recently disconnected. I havent disconnected the battery recently or the computer to my knowledge. I have put in new plugs,wires and both O2 sensors.
Does the "check engine" light get reset by the computer or is that manual thing to do???
