What kind of Horsepower gain would you get at the rear wheels by using Amsoil in the Trans and Differential over stock fluid?

if you notice any gain it would be in the mileage department, this would be more noticable in winter because your diff is cold and the fluid is thicker and harder to move. you will not get much out of it, but amsoil is a slightly better lubricant and my prolong the life of your truck.

Its more slick then any other fuild for these trucks, anything that makes it easier on the drivetrain will allow more horsepower, probably 5-7 more hp.

Webos got the correct term. You will probably get up to 5% in freed up horsepower using Amsoil.

You wouldn't see a difference power. The only thing you would see is possibly less wear.

They did dino some vehicles to see what effect oil had on power output...

synthetic blend was 1-3 hp
Full synthetic was 3-5 hp

These number when compared to regular dino oil on i think it was a motor bike.

Amsoil in Trans and Diff HP gain Amzoil Ams Oil

You can get horsepower gains when switching to synthetic transmission fluid and a rear end synthetic fluid change. Most engines that are switched over from dino to synthetic only gain maybe one or two horsepower at best, however you might see increases of 2 HP Engine / 1 HP Transmission / 1 HP Rear End.

IMHO --- minor HP gain is NOT one of the "top ten" reasons to switch to Synthetics. If you have had the opportunity to read some of my other posts you would know my "top ten" reasons. I will spare the "regulars" from haveing to read them again. *wink*

After previous owner had serviced at stealership regularily, and kept records on mileage, etc....I also did my own field testing/evaluation. Then I switched to everything amsoil, 5/30, diffs, transfer, tranny, power steer. I noticed no difference at all except is easier to start in -20 NoDak. That was my greatest gain, including peace of mind for having good oil.(120,000 from me, 160,000 on truck..97 cc 4x4 dak 3.9
Purchased a set of 7 5.0 injectors off ebay, mileage then went up, 15.0 to 16, and sometimes as high as 16.5. Lucky me. My wifes import suv goes through snow better, wheels better, and is reliable, and gets tremendously better mileage. I will not get a v6(American) truck ever again, especially a DC.

ps. My tranny started to leak out rear main when I switched, and still hasnt stopped.....
Next summer Ill yank her. Wife getting sick of red spots in driveway.
