Message: Check fuses and ASD relay in underhood fusebox
Check wiring under that fusebox and possibly back to firewall.
Look for splice of 3 or 4 wires - redo this splice
( has probably corroded away )
May also need to check all [ quick disconnects ]
in heavy cables from battery !

Message: thanks for the reply but there is no fuse box under my hood unless its hidden very well, this is a 1990 dakota,i've changed the starter relay & ignition switch problem still here.. i did mange to get it started with the old ignition switch after i took it apart and touched the correct contacts to get the ON position then i had a friend start it from the starter and it worked i guess this rules out bad wiring fro the ignition switch. could this be something with the tranny cables??????helpppp

Message: Your china starter is most likely the problem.
You have a rebuilt junk starter.

Message: Its not a starter problem. there is no power coming out of the switch at all. But I found the issue, there is a fusible link that picks up signal from one side of the ignition switch that feeds the upper half of the switch, which had melted in multiple spots. spliced in a new wire and fired right up
