 Subject: brake lights

i have a 89 dakota 3.9 and one day i went in the ditch and my antilock and brake lights both came on then they went off after about a month. Then about a week ago i hit the brakes pretty hard and both th elights came on again. Could someone please help me out on wuts wrong.
and does anyone know what size rims i would need to fit.
