Message: well, i might just be lucky. now that i think about it, most of the ones i honked at did seem more confused, but they never ran at me. it's just one of those things we have to deal with. too bad nothing really works till after the fact.

Message: Yeah...I can comment on the horn thing.
The gator story I mentioned earlier sorta shoots that one down anyway...afterall it chose to run into the fence right next to us laying on the horn rather than turn away from us.
But using wild deer and not captive deer... I saw deer while out driving around, slammed on the brakes and stopped and decided to see what they'd do if I honked the horn a couple times. They ran right in front of me straight into the woods. I think basically they run wherever they came from...so if the woods are away from the road, they go that way. I think that was mentioned before too, right?

In the past 4 months 2 deer have run into me and i have hit one dead nuts center( All cosmeic damage ) now i'm looking for another truck (98 dak 6cyl 4x4 )going for a test drive in a few days I have deer Whistles
