There is someone on ebay selling a copy of the IAT adjuster. Looking at his feedback he's not very professional and sometimes sends out bogus crap. Search for "Dodge Dakota Timing advance kit" or something similiar and you will see what I'm talking about. Just wanted to warn people.

I seen that cdsdakota, here is what the add says on ebay."You are bidding on a Dodge Dakota 3.9L timing advance kit. "This kit will work on 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97 98, 99, 00, 01, and 02 3.9L. This kit will tap into your computer and make the computer think that colder air is coming in that what is really coming in thus advancing the timing and producing more power. This kit can be good for up to 20rwhp. This kit will come with the hardware needed to install it and the instructions on how to install it. This kit is great for stock applications or modified applications. This worked wonders on my car and it will for you too. Install it at the track and see the gains in the quarter with your own eyes or install it at home and feel the diference. You dont need to know anything about working on cars, and you can install this kit. Anyone can do it. This kit comes with instructions, and all parts you will need to complete the install. Shipping and handling is 2.00 US only. I emailed him and asked him if it was home made and if it works with a jet chip he said yes. Bob

Ah...I ain't worried about him.

Looking at his year application, it doesn't work properly on late 2001 and 2002+ models. (You can thank some extra code in the PCM for that one.)

Hey, I did some looking into his other auctions (past and present)...looks to be a "All-In-One" kinda guy. ;)

Timing Kits, overpriced EGR bypass kits for Fords, overpriced EGR block-off kits for GM, Perfume, N64 games, cheap "HID" type lights, etc.

We're looking into his "Timing Kit" as well... ;)

Here's a reply from a buyer of the 20RWHP Timing Kit:

"The "Kit" is just a very small .83 cent resistor, that comes from radio shack or the like, along with a VERY smiple 8X6 photo copy instruction manual, one half page. I got this 20 HP high preformance kit for a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo, it does not seam to make any change in the cars performance. The only change that I can see is that I am now $14.50 poorer. I guess that you really do get what you pay for. Good luck and Happy Cruzzzzin. - John Kelsey "

$20 for a resistor....man, i'm in the wrong line of work! ;)

$20 for a resistor? If nothing else you have to give the ripoff guy credit for his fleecing skills. (I'd recommend giving him credit for about a second, and then throwing him off a cliff or something. *L*)

The only thing I have to say is, do a little research before you spend you hard earned cash. It is usualy safer buying parts that have been tested. And last but not least, you get what you pay for..

If you haven't been to EBAY lately to see who is bidding on this 20 dollar wonderful part, consisting of a resistor and piece of wire, the guy that is selling these things is making quite a bit of money. He is averaging 3 a week from what I can tell. Not to mention too that he obviously got smart and started to hold his auctions as "private" which means you can't see who is actually bidding on them.

His feedback isn't all that great either which leads me to conclude that sooner or later, he won't be selling them much longer....or will he?

So, I am sitting here wondering, how the heck this toggle switch, which by the way is now up 13 bucks, is going to give me 20 more ponies under my hood. Perhaps I should just go out to my red dak right now and take the fan out all together and go invest in an ice company...

This guy is making 20 bucks off EBAY for every so called "kit"?? I am in the wrong business.

I think I am going to start selling high performance air for tires. I figure that would give someone atleast 200 more ponies, atleast at the wheels. Any bidders????

This can't be right....20 bucks for a 40 cent resistor that anyone can buy at their local Radio Shack. Give me a break.

Well, I think it's crap but it's that old saying that your not paying for the product, your paying for the knowledge. Most people don't know they can put a cheap resistor under the hood to bump up the power a little. But, it's still crap and he is a ripoff.
