Message: Is there a Cold Air Induction kit for a 96 3.9 Dakota, all I have found is the cheesy round filter.
Thanks

Message: Other then if you did a search before making a repet post that would have answer your question thre are 5 options.
1. Get a breather that sits on the throttle body, no taller then a 2 inch because it will hit the hood.
2. Some people have said that the cold air intake kits for civics will work on out trucks.
4. Airaid sells a sort of cool air induction that is a tube that goes from the airhat to right behind the head light and has a cone filter.
5. get a 12inch long peice of aluminum dryer tubing and run it from the front of the airbox to inbetween the radiator and frame support.

Message: I'm all for the round intakes that go right on top the engine... they don't really bring in cold air, but they sure open the intake up and they make a V6 Dak look like it's got balls! Sound pretty kickass too (cept the IAC hiss in the winter, but you get used to it).

Message: My stock 95 V6 has round filter in a metal airbox. It also has a tube that connects to the front of the vehicle between the radiator and the headlamp. This sounds similar to the airraid system 00Dak described above. Except this does not use a cone filter.

Message: Don't use the civic intake! For some reason when I tried that I lost alot of throttle response! Don't take a short cut just get an intake made for your truck. But if you are tight on cash you could do the dryer vent thing, but make sure you change the filter to K&N or something comp. That way will only cost you about 50.00
