I have a 99 and the heat will only work in Defrost.I always have it set on Defrost and floor. But i found out last night that it wasnt coming out the floor.Since it was -10 and my feet wernt geting warm lol.

But when i turn it on Vent it blows out cold.I also tryed just the floor setting and nothing would blow there. This really isnt a good thing right now living in indianapolis,In.It has been geting very cold and with just Defrost that doesnt warm the truck up very well.

Oh and i can hear it switch to the floor setting, just no air. Thanks for any help.

now don,t take what i,m going to say as the gospel truth cause i have,nt worked on a 99,
but i,ll try to give you a little info,

theres a trap door that opens/closes for heat or outside air,[older daks use a cable with a slide button on the dash]

then theres trap doors for the floor/defrost and bi-level,here is where i think your problem is,what is causing the problem i,m not sure,
but i would try the control panel in the dash first because as one door is close or moving to a different position, the other is doing the same closing or opening to change air flow

so basicly you have three things that can give you problems, control panel on dash, vaccuum hose off/broke,vaccuum actuator/s not working open/close doors

i know this may not help you much but its about as good as i can explain it

someone with a hand held vaccuum pump can help narrow it down
