Message:
Has anyone experienced engine missing after the gas tank is less than 1/2 full. It appears to get worse as the fuel level gets lower. The engine does not miss consistently but will intermitently miss for a few seconds as you are driving. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuel pump

when full the pump is fully submerged in gas and
it keeps it cool.

1/2 and below the pump is exposed to air gets hot
and will kick out from the thermisters installed
for that reason getting hot shut me off or I will
melt down and blow up the gas in the tank

Just like any elect motor they shut down when hot
so they don't melt down

Replace it with a master unit, new pump filter
regulater, its better than just a cheap after
market pump using the old filter and reg

Thank you for the information.

Am I better off to use an OEM pump or look at a good aftermarket pump.
