2000 Dakota 3.9L automatic transmission. Owners manual says ATF +3 but I hear I should use ATF+4 now that it is out. Any harm in using ATF +3? I am confussed becasue I saw somewhere that 1999-2000 Dakota's started beign switched to ATF +4. DO I have ATF +3 or +4?

You can use the +3 or +4 chrysler does recomend
using the +4 but 3 will be fine
Amsoil universal sysnthetic also runs great in
these trans also redline syn
