Subject: Is there a Belly Pan on 1990 TBI? IP: Logged
Message: That's all!
This is a 1990 Throttle Body system - 2 injectors not 8 - is there a belly pan? I can't find a good picture on the web to show a TBI manifold.
Thanks, Dave

Message: Your talking about 2 completely different ends of the motor. The belly pan is the oil pan. You may be thinking of something else.

Message: No, Dave knows what he is talking about. The plenum cover on the kegger style manifold is often referred to as a belly pan.
Dave, I'm really not sure. You probably can tell by looking at it. Is it a kegger style manifold like the later models? If it is like an old style manifold or M1, you will be able to see an open area underneath and the pan is an intregal part of the intake gasket.

Message: There is no Magnum-style belly pan gasket on the pre-Magnum engine. You have the front and rear block gaskets, and the intake manifold/head gaskets, just like all LA Mopar smallblocks have. The belly pan was the hideous invention for the Magnum 1992-up engine. The intake is a single cast iron piece.
