Subject: converter was removed IP: Logged
Message: 91 dodge dakota 3.9 92k miles. Converter has been removed. Smog pump still has belt on it but makes a sound like 2 cycle kawasaki under the hood.Is there anyway to use the air from the smog pump on the intake air breather that will help gas mileage and not hurt performance? I thought about just taking the belt off of it, but don't know if it will effect the computer or anything like that. Thanks, Cliff

Message: Just like removing the catcon (being a federal crime punishable by $2,500 fine) will increase HC emissions by a factor of 10, causing far more smog.
