Subject: fanny tranny IP: Logged
Message: Is replacing the solenoid pack on the transmission difficult? Could anyone help me out and give me some step by step instructions? Thanks alot

Message: You need to drop the valve body
Drivers side
unplug elect connection
losen the 2 7/16 bolts on the TV and shift lever
and pop them off with screw driver
have shift lever in low 1st gear
put a wire accros under body to hold it up
remove the 10 7/16 bolts from body
now push down on elec plug body will pop out
remove e clip from park lever
now remove body
unbolt sol pack and replace 35 inch pounds or 3
foot pounds on pack bolts
There will be a new elec plug with the sol pack
hang body back on wire install park rod and eclip
oh ya be sure you catch the 1-2 accumulator valve
when it comes down pass side reinstall with the
springs shove it back up hold and get a bolt
started tighten in steps snug tighter than to specs
body to trans 13 foot pounds pan bolts same torque
not to hard to replace keep some rags handy its
messy

body to trans 105 inch pounds 9 foot which is 108
pan bolts are 13 foot pounds
