Im not sayin this because I have a chevy s-10 with the 4.3 with cam, intake, headers, msd, shift kit ,locker, solid axle, runnin on 333 right now. But my buddy has a 98 dakota with a 3.9 and five speed with 33s and I run circles around him.So shut up and just face it the only resones you got the dakota is because you couldnt aford real hourse power or your girlfreind said she like it better, anyone else here the whip crakin

dealership said my credit wasn't good enough to finance the
extra $2,000 for the v8 option

you must like dodge if u want to go to this site and put something in the forum...ur s-10 is like half the size of a 3.9L and u probably had nos but u were afraid of admitting it. Y do u have to race trucks with smaller engines...how bout tryin to race a 4.7 or a 5.2...i think ur right about our girlfriends liking it better cuz it is better and she knows chevy sux!!!!

How bout because im an individal with my own opionion of products and pros and cons of them and i chose what i like and how i like it not based on someone elses opionion who means nothing to me or anyone here? Stop trolling you just look stupid.

hahaha. an s-10. Is that the same kind of a truck that i seen getting PULLED BY A DAKOTA yesterday. I guess if that was considered a race, the s-10 was right behind it....lol

Let's look at it this way...
Chevy finally ended the S-10 line cause they didn't have the sales. It was replaced with the bigger colorado so they could compete with the dakota.

And the Dakota was SOOOO much better than the Colorado last year since the Colorado was so cheaply made inside...of course Dodge decided to give Chevy a CHANCE to finally compete by redesigning the 05 Dakota into a very similar POS.

The last time I checked, Dan's (DAHEMIKOTA's) truck wasn't stock! Even stock it should be able to pull better than mid 17s... heck my pretty much stock CC 4x4 AUTO should do better than that :-)
I'm not going to rag on and on about S10s, I just like the Dakota better. IT looks better, is slightly larger, and you can get a V8!! The v6 'Kotas aren't slouches either. I know, I owned one :-) Maybe your buddy needs lower gears to power his 33"s around... and another note about this comparison... the 4.3 is the LARGEST engine in the S10, and the 3.9L is the MID engine in the Dakota (until the 3.7L, 4.7L engines became the only options) so to be fair, shouldn't you be comparing your truck to a v8 kota??
