Message:
after i crank my truck and it gets warm,i get strange clattering noise comes from somewhere from the front of the motor.doesnt matter what time of year or day or how long it runs.just when it idles like at a red light or in the driveway.ive had this 91 dak for 10 years and this has always been present.ive noticed the same noise on several other daks about the same age with the 3.9
anyone have an idea what it is and if it can be stopped???

Check the Water pump I had the same problem and it drove me Up a wall. I changed it and bingo no more noise. Also try some belt dressing on the belts.

I had the same problem but let it go too long. It ended up being the fan bearing, which inturn wiped out my water pump. Fix it quick
