Subject: torsion bar adjustment IP: Logged
Message: Looks like the snow line is getting closer to Massachusetts. I look forward to plowing with my 1999 regular cab V6 Dakota. I tried to turn the torsion bar adjustment in but even with an air-wrench the adjustment would not move.
I liquid wrenched it and hope to try in a few days or so.
MY QUESTION IS THIS, is there a lock-nut on this? or do i just turn the screw?
I dont see anything locking this in place, so i look forward to any and all information.
HULK,,,HELP ME!!!!
THANKS AGAIN

Message: No lock nut. Jacking up your front end to take the weight off the bars will help. You might try some power blaster, nasty smelling stuff but seems to work better than liquid wrench.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way
