Subject: Something kool for the 3.7 kota IP: Logged
Message: For the older dakotas they had the V6 and V8 badges. I had an idea one day, why dont i put a badge on my kota. I though about having someone stencle a 3.7 badge on my truck, but that would cost too much. Then I remembered about the Jeep.
To my suprise the badge was only $12.50 for one, and that was at the Jeep house TOO!!!!! I had them ship to down for Dallas, I had the badge the next day. And in my opinion they look great!!
This might seem stupid but, it really does make people look twice at my truck.
Let me know if anyone has tough of the same thing, or even of something better....

Message: Well, I haven't thought of that but I have thought about getting two 5.7L HEMI emblems and putting them on the side of the front fender just to have a little fun.
One of my friends has a 2003 Dak and he put some on his. He says that it draws alot of attention and people always comment about it having a HEMI, even though it don't.
I think it would be kinda cool.

Message: But then the annoying Chevy guys that might beet you go around telling everyone they beet a HEMI Dakota. Go with I4 emblems and then beat them and ask shy they are so slow. I think sleeper is always better.

Message: why would you want to advertise something you obviously can't back-up? IMO,like JFH said, "sleeper is always better".

Message: I wouldn't put any on my truck anyway. If I had a V8 or a V6 though I don't think that I would put a 4 cyl emblem on it either.
Personally, I would like to show off the fact that I had a bigger motor, but that's just me.
I guess that I could be a sleeper in a way though. Mine don't have any emblems at all. That'll keep em guessing for sure.

Message: Kinda funny..when Jeremy beat the hell out of
a 2.0 DOHC 5 speed Eclipse and the guy
knew it was a V6....just because of the sound.
But he asked Jeremy if it was Turbo'ed...for the
simple fact that Jeremys freaking intake
makes more sucking noise than I have ever
heard and theres no leak either......kinda funny
b/c I think the guy watched too much F&F.
He had the works....3' Wing, 6 inch muffler,
body kit and DAM he wasnt double clutching
either! HEHE....that was the stupidest
comment I have ever had the pleasure of
hearing Vin Deisel say.

Message: LOL!!! Reminds me of my younger years and my '65 Malibu 327/350 - with 283 badges. Then the 396's came along a year or so later, and they were mis-badging and blowing ME away!
That car wound up getting stolen, by the way, right off my Dad's carport. I remember hearing it fire up, at exactly 3:05 in the morning on May 11, 1966 - my birthday. I was 20 years old.
Thieves suck, ya know?

Message: i really do like the way that the badge does look, its not every day that u see a 3.7L badge on a KoTa (well for me it is)
but that is kool, every one likes their own style
i keep peole posted on what my next project is, i am ither think of geting some stripes like Mike, or going old school with one solid white stripe around the back of my bed, with 226ci or 3.7L in the middle of it
still pondering on that????
