it is built into the PCM no way to bypass or work around it. the factory alarm is in the PCM and the locks also go thru it.

Actually the CTM is in the driver side kick panel. This is the module that gives us the infamous "dinger". Had to have mine replace in my '03 Quad Cab after a lightning strike. This controls the lights, locks, keyless, etc.
Not hard to find or remove. Cost around 200 from stealer...

I have a problem with the central time on my 2001 Dakota, too. I removed the the side kick panel (plastic cover on the side of the parking brake pedal) and found the timer. Now one thing that is being difficlut is to find a place to by one. I have done a few Internet searches for part/serial/model numbers and they come back without any hits. Does anyone know where to by this part?

prolly have to buy it from the dealer.

mopar is only sold by dealers.

once you buy the module you have to have a dealer program it for the specific options in your truck.
