When I'm on the highway or going about 50-60 and I hit the gas and downshift, it gets stuck in that gear at high RPM for a few seconds after I let off the gas. I thought the cause was that I adjusted the TV cable a while ago, but I set it back the way it was and this still happens. It shifts fine under normal driving anyway.

Well I played with the tv cable a little more and it's still happening. The way it feels seems like I have the tv cable set too tight, because that would mean I have to let off the gas more for it to upshift, right? But it happens even when I take my foot off the pedal, and I have the cable set perfectly now. If I'm having tranny problems already I'm gonna have a heart attack. Could this happen if my tranny fluid is low? I checked it today, but my truck was warmed up and I couldn't make out the line. I would guess it seemed ok though.

Change fluid and filter recomended 30,000 miles
Chrysler ATF +4 or Amsoil syn

On the 00 that is also 1 of the years they had
probs with the presure sensor and solonoid $200
for the upgraded unit from chrysler

There is also a return spring drivers side on the
TV lever check to see its there and not broke
down on the trans

I was wondering about that tv valve. It feels like it's returning to idle position a little slow when I let go of it, but I don't remember how it felt before this started happening. If that's not it I'll check into that ps sensor, I had no idea about that. Thanks.

The throttle valve is closing fine, so it must be the sensors... do you think a faulty pressure sensor could have anything to do with my rpm dropping when I shift to reverse? I had the IAC and throttle body cleaned pretty well and I still get that annoying thud and sputter when I shift to R.

I brought my truck to the shop yesterday and told them about the pressure sensor and all. They found a faulty tps and 02 sensor and replaced them, but they didn't find any trouble with anything in the tranny, but I think they just did a scan for codes. The truck's driving much better now overall, but it still sticks when I downshift and hunts for gears at highway speed. Should there be a code coming up for the pressure sensor and solenoid or should I ask them to physically inspect them?

I was just looking at shift kits. If I got one installed, would it clear up the problem without having to replace the solenoid, if they maybe cleaned up the area when it was opened up?
