Subject: Magnum 3.9 Valve Cover Gaskets IP: Logged
Message: Can you buy valve cover gaskets for a 3.9 (magnum)? I called the parts house,(name withheld) & was told that I had to buy new valve covers that the gaskets were affixed to them, sounds a little odd but who knows? It made me want to buy a few tubes of permatex & hope for the best.
Thanks For your replies/help.

Message: Of course you can buy valve cover gaskets. I would highly recommend Felpro. Very high quality product and they are reusable. As you may already know the factoy gaskets are reusable as well if they are not damaged.

Message: A word of wisdom
stay away from aftermarket gaskets there junk get
them right from chrysler and enjoy the leak free
quility
The mopar gaskets have a steel center with silicon
coating and no alignment problems and they don't
leak
Head gaskets also aftermarket have a .050 to .060
crush which will lower your compresion about .2
the mopar are .030 and .020 are avalible
