 Subject: unwanted revving

89dakotasport 6cyl. after 1 battery jumpstart....engine high revs then backs off to near stall truck lurches except at high speed in third or fourth gear....computor fried? leaking head gasket?...iac valve dirty?...vacuum lines?...water in fuel intake?.....im at a loss whats most likely to be the prob????

Vacuum lines possible.
Intake " plenum gasket " possible
EGR valve/sensor/solenoid possible
Start somewhere and eliminate the possibilities..
